        เรื่องเหนือสามัญวิสัย อิทธิฤทธิ์ ปาฏิหาริย์ สิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เทพเทวดาในแง่มุมของพระพุทธศาสนา อิทธิปาฏิหาริย์ก็ดี เทพเทวดา ก็ดี จะมีจริงหรือไม่นั้น ถ้าหากเราถือตามตัวอักษรในพระไตรปิฏก รวมทั้งในพระพุทธประวัติ เราจะเห็นว่ามีระบุอยู่ทั่วไปในคัมภีร์ ก็คงยืนยันได้ว่า “มี” แต่การที่เราจะพิสูจน์ว่าเทพเทวดา สิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ อำนาจลึกลับว่ามีจริงหรือไม่นั้น ยากที่จะทำให้คนทั้งหลายยอมรับหรือเห็นพ้องเป็นคำตอบเดียวกันได้   พระพุทธศาสนาไม่ประสงค์ให้ผู้คนเชื่อถือและงมงายในสิ่งเหล่านี้ ทั้งนี้ “พระพุทธศาสนากล้าท้าให้สิ่งเหล่านี้มีจริง เป็นจริง โดยประกาศอิสรภาพให้แก่มนุษย์ ท่ามกลางความมีอยู่ของสิ่งเหล่านี้”  การที่เราจะพิสูจน์ว่าสิ่งเหล่านี้มีจริงหรือไม่นั้น ไม่สำคัญเท่ากับว่าในกรณีที่มีอยู่จริง สิ่งเหล่านั้นมีฐานะอย่างไรต่อการดำรงชีวิตของมนุษย์ และอะไรคือความสัมพันธ์อันถูกต้องระหว่างมนุษย์กับสิ่งเหล่านั้น และเพื่อให้รู้ถึงความเกี่ยวข้องของมนุษย์ เทพเทวดาและสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์เป็นอย่างไรนั้น เราควรเปิดใจในการศึกษาต่อสิ่งเหล่านี้ เพื่อให้รู้ว่าอะไรเป็นอะไรและจำเป็นที่เราจะต้องพึงศึกษาให้รู้แจ้ง หากแต่ไม่ควรรีบปฏิเสธด้วยเพียงการใช้ “ความเห็น” เนื่องจากความเห็นไม่ใช่ “ข้อเท็จจริง” เพราะความเห็นนั้นขึ้นอยู่กับประสบการณ์ของแต่ละคน ส่วนความจริงคือเรื่องจริงถึงกระนั้นหากเราเชื่อ เราก็ไม่ควรเชื่อจนงมงาย หรือยึดติดในเทพ เทวดา เครื่องราง ของขลัง ตลอดจนสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์จนเกินพอดี  ดังนั้นการปฏิบัติต่อเทพ เทวดาและสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ทั้งหลาย เราจึงควรคิดพิจารณาด้วยปัญญา ด้วยศิลปะ ด้วยความคิดที่ถูกต้อง ตามแต่ละสถานการณ์ แต่ละโอกาส  ที่สำคัญที่สุดคือเราต้องรู้เท่าทันตามความเป็นจริง



                                             Modernized Applied Dhamma
         There has been a question asked whether magical powers, sacred things including divinities in Buddhism do exist or not. According to the Buddhist Scriptures and the history of the Lord Buddha, they really exist. However, it’s hard to prove and make people to be credulous, in fact, it dares to challenge human being to be independent, despite the existence of these mysterious being and happening. To prove whether or not they do exist doesn’t matter. What matter is, if they do exist, how they can influence people’s lives and their livings, moreover, what the connection between human beings and there magical powers are. To understand the relationship between them, we should open up our minds to get to know them intensely. Men should not judge it by their own “opinion” because it’s not “the fact”. An opinion relies on one’s own experience but the fact is what really happens. Although we have faith on it, we should believe and react appropriately, that is, not too much, not too little, by applying wisdom and arts and the right consciousness, depending on situations and each occasion. Most importantly, we have to be aware of the existence of those things so that we can catch up with the happenings of them by realizing the truth.
